Henna - Screws Burglars

It has been estimated that a dog’s olfactory sense is upto thousand times stronger than that of humans. So, when we do good at something, we enjoy doing it more often. Similarly even dogs enjoy sniffing from their playtime to greeting others. Some have even made a career out of sniffing, helping law enforcement and others with their unique canine talent. One such case of this amazing talent of canine power, is the recent case of a dog helping the cops solve a robbery case in Maharashtra.

A female dog named Heena, of the bomb disposal squad, helped the MRA marg police to detect and arrest two thieves who had stolen 15 lakh from a corporate office using screw drivers. According the officer in charge of this case, Sharad Dhole, the robbery happened a fortnight ago when the robbers broke into Eastern Trading company in Fort using two screw drivers. Heena traced them just after sniffing the screw drivers.

"Except that the accused had used screwdrivers we did not have any clue but Heena  led us till Mastan adda in Fort where drug addicts assemble for consuming drugs,'' exclaimed Dhole.

The MRA marg police arrested Shabbir Abbas and Sharif Aslam Pathan and recovered 12.5 lakh cash and a brand new auto rickshaw which was apparently bought using the stolen money. They also raided Lallubhai Compound in Mankhurd when some informer gave him this information. They arrested Shabbir Abbas who later on interrogation spilled the beans about Sharif Pathan.

It was all possible because of Heena who, according to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ravindra Shishve will be rewarded for her excellent work.

If you know any stories of some heroic work by dogs then you can tell us about that.
